This is a spice from the Eldin region, central to the cooking of the Gorons of Death Mountain. It’s a recipe that has been passed down through the generations to complement their rock-centric cuisine. Though originating with the Gorons, it is used throughout all of Hyrule in a number of dishes, particularly when a sweet and spicy balance of flavor is required.
