In Labrynna, Link encounters the Goron tribe of Rolling Ridge. One of the items he receives here during a trading quest is Goronade, which appears to be a Goron energy drink.
Goronade seems to be a play on Gatorade, but it also reminds me of lemonade, a Goron lemonade. I wanted to create a lemonade based drink that had that sweet and salty flavor profile of Gatorade. From making a number of Goron related dishes from Breath of the Wild, I’ve grown accustomed to having a bit of an Indian flavor profile in Goron recipes. Adding some floral and spice notes to accent the sweet salty lemonade seemed like the perfect fit for this Goron drink.
The end result is a gin and lemon cocktail with Chaat Masala and salt. It tastes like a sort of floral Gatorade. I’m not sure if it will boost your energy, but I’d gladly sip one of these refreshing cocktails while relaxing at a cafe in Lynna City.
Ingredients
2 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed
2 oz simple syrup
2 oz gin
4 oz seltzer water
¼ tsp Chaat Masala
⅛ tsp kosher salt

To make simple syrup for the drink, add ½ cup of water to a small pot over medium-low heat. Add ½ cup of sugar to the water and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved into the water. Once the sugar is completely dissolved into the water, remove from the heat. Pour the simple syrup into a container and place into the refrigerator to fully cool.
Add the lemon juice, Chaat Masala, and kosher salt to a cocktail shaker. Using a spoon, stir until the spices are well blended into the lemon juice. Add the simple syrup and gin. Carefully add some ice to the shaker, secure the lid and cap on the cocktail shaker, and shake to fully blend the ingredients. Remove the cap and pour the drink (through the strainer) into a glass. Once it’s poured into the glass, top the drink off with the seltzer water. The cocktail is ready to drink! You can optionally garnish the drink with some lint leaves.
If you prefer a non-alcoholic drink, you can leave out the gin or use rose water in its place.
