Similar to the pork barbecue rub, I also have a chicken barbecue rub. This rub differs from the pork rub in that is is enhanced by a number of ground herbs such as sage, oregano, and rosemary. As the name implies, I use this pretty much exclusively for chicken. I often combine this dry rub with my bourbon brown sugar barbecue sauce for a really flavorful grilled chicken.
Ingredients
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp Smoked paprika
½ tbsp salt
½ tbsp garlic powder
½ tbsp onion powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp ground sage
1 tsp ground oregano
½ tsp ground rosemary
½ tsp dry mustard
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix to thoroughly blend.
